WHAT WE DO
Whether your child is a budding performer or just enjoys the fun and friendships that come with participating in theatre, Open Arts Alliance is the place for them to thrive. Explore and discover our programs which include Classes, Workshops, In-school Residencies, Touring Productions and Mainstage Musicals. These opportunities cover disciplines such as acting, singing, dancing, and film. As a 501c3 non-profit, we bring year round activities in Creative Drama and Children’s Theatre across the state and country. Looking for something specific? Let us help create a program that fits your needs. Contact us and let us know.
Open Arts Alliance proudly pioneers educational programs for senior citizens. We use principles and practices of the performing arts to bring music and laughter to health-care facilities, assisted living communities and hospitals, making theatre accessible for all- particularly those struggling with dementia, Alzheimer's disease or limited physical mobility.
Students (no matter their age) are at the heart of our programs. Through classes, workshops, and field trips, with certified teaching artists, Open Arts Alliance exposes thousands of students each year to the power of creative drama. Our curriculum's meet state and national language and arts standards to bridge the gap between student success in the classroom and onstage.
Whether we are bringing one of our Professional Touring Productions to your school, or producing a musical for the whole family to enjoy, Open Arts Alliance is dedicated to creating memorable and moving theatrical works.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
WHY ARTS EDUCATION?
Open Arts Alliance believes that Arts education is crucial to the development of all students, both young and old. It is connected to academic achievement, social and emotional development, civic engagement, and opportunity. Young students who participate in the arts have shown an average increase of 22% in Math scores as well as a 15% increase in Reading, English, and Social studies. In older adults, it has been found to improve cognitive, emotional, physical, and psychological wellness. Arts education has been used as a therapeutic strategy for individuals who have experienced illness, trauma and other challenges. It is our goal to shine a light on what is possible with the power of ART!
